Madera: Martin Arce and Alberto Sanchez Seriously Injured in Crash

At about 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 2nd, three people were seriously injured in a crash in Madera. The accident occurred at the intersection of Avenue 14 and Road 19 when 48-year-old Kerman resident Jose Rodriguez ran a stop sign and broadsided the Dodge Ram pickup truck driven by 21-year-old Martin Arce with his Chevrolet S-10 pickup. Rodriguez, Arce, and his passenger, 34-year-old Alberto Sanchez, all suffered moderate to major trauma and were taken to a local hospital, explains a California truck accident attorney.

Madera accounted for 157 of the 1,006 fatal and injury motor vehicle traffic accidents that occurred in Madera County in 2009, according to the California Office of Traffic Safety. Statewide, traffic fatalities decreased by 10.3 percent, from 3,434 in 2008 to 3,081 in 2009—the lowest level since the federal government began keeping such records in 1975.

All of us at Allen, Flatt, Ballidis, and Leslie would like to wish Martin Arce, Alberto Sanchez, and Jose Rodriquez, the three men seriously injured in the crash last Tuesday, a full recovery.
