Marysville: Kristin Valadez and Three Other Passengers Injured in Crash

At about 4:25 p.m. on Wednesday, February 6, 28-year-old Kristin Valadez and three other passengers were injured in a crash near Marysville. While traveling northbound on Highway 70 in a Honda, 33-year-old Lao Vang lost control of the vehicle while rounding a curve, veered from the road, and slammed into a tree. Valadez suffered bruises and internal injuries and was transported to an area hospital. The three male occupants in the back seat suffered injuries ranging from minor to major. Vang was also hospitalized for leg and collarbone pain. Authorities are investigating the accident.

“Passengers who are injured in collisions may file personal injury claims against the negligent driver in order to be compensated for expenses associated with their recoveries,” explained California car accident attorney James Ballidis.

Marysville accounted for 28 of the 132 injuries suffered by passengers in crashes that occurred in Yuba County in 2010, according to the California Highway Patrol’s Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System. The California Office of Traffic Safety ranked Yuba County 27th out of 58 counties for its incidence of fatal and injury accidents in a rating system in which 1st place is considered the worst.

All of us at Allen, Flatt, Ballidis, and Leslie would like to wish a full recovery to Kristin Valadez and the three passengers who were injured.
