Shortly before 5 p.m. on Wednesday, August 14, four people were injured in a car accident on Highway 79 near Beaumont. The single-vehicle accident occurred at Gilman Springs Road, the impact leaving occupants trapped in the wreckage. Emergency responders extricated the victims and transported them to the hospital to receive treatment for injuries ranging from minor to major. Authorities are investigating the crash.
“Those injured in a collision may hold the at-fault party liable for the expense of their recoveries through the injury claims process,” explained California car accident lawyer James Ballidis, “such as for medical bills, lost wages, and pain and suffering.”
Beaumont accounted for 1 of the 164 fatalities and 172 of the 10,594 injuries suffered in traffic accidents that occurred in Riverside County, according to the California Highway Patrol’s Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System. The California Office of Traffic Safety ranked Riverside County 46th out of 58 counties for its incidence of fatal and injury traffic accidents in a ranking system in which 1st place is considered the worst.
