Cloverdale: Luis A. Pacheco Killed in Semi Accident

By

At about 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 2nd, 23-year-old Luis A. Pacheco, of Santa Rosa, was killed in a semi accident near Cloverdale. While hauling a tanker with 4,400 gallons of fuel west on Highway 128, 56-year-old Terry Wood lost control of the vehicle, causing the trailer to overturn and strike the eastbound Toyota Camry Pacheco was driving. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Wood was not injured in the crash, explains a California truck accident attorney.

Cloverdale accounted for none of the 20 fatalities and 10 of the 1,821 injuries suffered by the drivers of motor vehicles in Sonoma County in 2009, according to the California Highway Patrol’s Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System. Throughout the state, traffic accidents claimed the lives of 1,668 drivers and injured 140,787.

All of us at Allen, Flatt, Ballidis, and Leslie would like to offer our condolences to the family of Luis A. Pacheco, the motorist killed in the semi accident.
