Canyon Lake: Suspected Drunk Driver Caused Head-On Collision

By

At about 12:42 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21st, suspected drunk driver Rene Rissetto caused a head-on collision in Canyon Lake. The crash occurred in the 22500 block of South Canyon Lake Drive, the impact sending both drivers to the hospital. Authorities are investigating the accident.

“Although the incidence of alcohol-related crashes has declined,” explained California personal injury attorney James Ballidis, “far too many people are injured or killed each year in them.”

Canyon Lake accounted for none of the 172 fatalities and 14 of the 10,963 injuries suffered by motor vehicle occupants in traffic accidents in Riverside in 2009, according to the California Highway Patrol’s Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System. That year, alcohol contributed to 87 of the traffic fatalities and 986 of the injuries suffered in the county.

All of us at Allen, Flatt, Ballidis, and Leslie would like to wish a full recovery to those injured in the head-on collision caused by the suspected drunk driver.

The Press-Enterprise originally reported this Canyon Lake accident.
