On the morning of Thursday, June 28th, two riders were seriously injured in a crash at Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park. Paramedics transported the two motorcyclists to a hospital to receive medical attention for major trauma. Authorities are investigating the accident.
“After an accident resulting in significant trauma, the negligent party may be held liable for the injury-related expenses of those involved,” explained California motorcycle injury lawyer James Ballidis.
Lake Elsinore accounted for 1 of the 30 fatalities and 11 of the 520 injuries suffered by motorcyclists in crashes in Riverside County in 2009, according to the California Highway Patrol’s Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System. The incidence of motorcyclist fatalities decreased from 560 in 2008 to 394 in 2009, marking the first decline since 1998.
