At about 3:39 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10th, a multiple-vehicle crash injured four people in Pacoima. The accident, which involved five vehicles, two of which rolled over, occurred at 12680 W. Foothill Boulevard. Paramedics transported two women and two men, two of them in critical condition, to a hospital. Two other people received medical attention at the scene. Authorities are investigating the collision.
“After an accident resulting in trauma, the at-fault party may be held liable for the victims’ injury-related expenses,” explained California personal injury lawyer James Ballidis.
Traffic collisions caused serious or fatal injury to 72,010 people in Los Angeles County in 2010, according to the California Office of Traffic Safety. Compared to 58 other counties in the state, Los Angeles ranked 15th for its incidence of fatal and injury collisions in a rating system in which first place is considered the worst.
