Diamond Bar: Passenger Arnold Hutchinson Fatally Injured in Semi Crash

By

At about 11 a.m. on Friday, October 19, 40-year-old Arnold Hutchinson, of Mira Loma, was fatally injured in a semi crash in Diamond Bar. A passenger in a big rig that was involved in a minor crash on Highway 60, Hutchinson was exchanging information with the driver of the other vehicle when another semi truck veered onto the shoulder of the road and slammed into his truck. After emergency responders freed him from the wreckage, they transported him to an area hospital, where he died from his injuries the following day. Authorities are investigating the accident.

“After a fatal accident, the family of the victim may hold the at-fault driver liable for their loss by filing a wrongful death claim,” explained California truck accident attorney James Ballidis.

Throughout Los Angeles County, 346 people were killed and 62,881 were injured in crashes in 2010, according to the California Highway Patrol’s Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System. That year, large trucks were involved in 47 of the collisions that resulted in death and 1,535 of those that caused injury in the county.

All of us at Allen, Flatt, Ballidis, and Leslie would like to offer our condolences to the family of Arnold Hutchinson, the man who was fatally injured in the semi crash.
