Perris: Joel Tibbrine Killed, Passenger Seriously Injured in Rollover Accident

By

At around 1:30 a.m. on Friday, October 12, 22-year-old Joel Tibbrine, of Chula Vista, was killed and his 19-year-old passenger was seriously injured in a rollover accident in Perris. His vehicle veered off of Nuevo Road near Redlands Avenue, overturned, and came to rest at the bottom of a storm drain. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency responders transported the passenger to a hospital in critical condition. The crash is under investigation.

“When vehicle occupants suffer serious or fatal trauma in a crash, the negligent party may be held liable for the expense of their recoveries or of their families’ losses,” explained California car accident attorney James Ballidis.

Traffic collisions claimed the lives of 164 motor vehicle occupants and injured another 10,594 in Riverside County in 2010, according to the California Highway Patrol’s Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System. The city of Perris accounted for 6 of the fatalities and 181 of the injuries. Twenty-nine of the fatal or injury collisions in the city occurred between 9 p.m. and 2:59 a.m.

All of us at Allen, Flatt, Ballidis, and Leslie would like to offer our condolences to the family of Joel Tibbrine. We would also like to wish a full recovery to the passenger who was seriously injured.
