At about 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 30, 25-year-old Nicholas Musto was fatally injured in a collision in Temecula. While traveling on Rancho California Road, motorist Jennifer Moss ran a red light at Yukon Road and collided with Musto’s vehicle. He sustained major trauma and was transported to an area hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries last Tuesday. Witnesses, or anyone with information about the accident, are asked to call the Temecula Police Department’s Traffic Division at 951-696-3000.
“When a motorist is killed in a collision, the at-fault party may be held liable by the victim’s family for expenses associated with their loss,” explained California car accident lawyer James Ballidis.
Temecula accounted for 1 of the 164 fatalities and 532 of the 10,594 injuries suffered by motor vehicle occupants in traffic accidents that occurred in Riverside County in 2010, according to the California Highway Patrol’s Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System. That year, 2,715 people were killed in crashes, 11.9 percent fewer than in 2009.
All of us at Allen, Flatt, Ballidis, and Leslie would like to offer our condolences to the family of Nicholas Musto.
