At about 4:48 a.m. on Monday, November 5, 27-year-old Armando Bituin was seriously injured in a crash near Moreno Valley. While traveling eastbound on Gilman Springs Road, 23-year-old Kevin Trillo lost control of his 2004 Nissan Frontier, swerved into opposing lanes of traffic, and crashed into the 2005 Honda Civic Bituin was driving. Emergency responders transported him to an area hospital to receive treatment for major trauma. Traffic congestion caused by the accident resulted in two rear-end collisions that sent several people to the hospital, as well as a motorcycle accident in which a Riverside County sheriff’s deputy sustained minor injuries.
“When a motor vehicle collision results in injuries, the at-fault party may be held liable for any recovery-related debt incurred by the victims,” explained California car accident lawyer James Ballidis.
Moreno Valley accounted for 8 of the 164 fatalities and 866 of the 10,594 injuries suffered by motor vehicle occupants in Riverside County in 2010, according to the California Highway Patrol’s Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System. Moreno Valley ranked 26th out of 53 cities for its incidence of fatal and injury crashes in a California Office of Traffic Safety rating system in which 1st place is considered the worst.
All of us at Allen, Flatt, Ballidis, and Leslie would like to wish a full recovery to Armando Bituin and the others who were injured in the crash near Moreno Valley.
