By

Shortly before 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 26, 54-year-old Michael Sabb, of Buena Park, was killed in a collision in Hayward. While traveling westbound on Industrial Boulevard in a dark blue Nissan, Sabb collided with a blue Mustang at Hesperian Boulevard, one of the city’s busiest intersections. Sabb was declared dead at the scene. Neither occupant of the Mustang was hurt in the accident. Authorities are investigating the crash.

“When an accident results in the death of a vehicle occupant, the family of the victim may hold the negligent driver liable for their loss through the wrongful death claims process,” explained California car accident lawyer James Ballidis.

Traffic collisions claimed the lives of or caused injury to 475 people in Hayward in 2010, according to the California Office of Traffic Safety’s most current data. Statewide, traffic fatalities increased 2.6 percent, from 2,720 in 2010 to 2,791 in 2011.

All of us at Allen, Flatt, Ballidis, and Leslie would like to offer our condolences to the family of Michael Sabb, the motorist killed in the collision.
