La Habra: Faustina Vital Killed in Collision with Truck

By

Shortly before 6 p.m. on Wednesday, December 19, 70-year-old Faustina Vital was killed in a collision with a truck in La Habra. A Chevrolet Silverado traveling eastbound on Whittier Boulevard struck Vital’s Toyota Corolla as she attempted to turn from a westbound lane of Whittier onto Cypress Street. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities are investigating the crash.

“After a fatal crash, the family of the victim may hold the negligent driver liable for their loss by filing a wrongful death claim,” explained Orange County auto accident lawyer James Ballidis.

La Habra accounted for none of the 71 fatalities and 348 of the 17,031 injuries suffered by motor vehicle occupants in Orange County in 2010, according to the California Highway Patrol’s Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System. Alcohol was a factor in 30 of the collisions that resulted in injury or fatality in La Habra that year.

All of us at Allen, Flatt, Ballidis, and Leslie would like to offer our condolences to the family of Faustina Vital, the woman killed in the collision with the truck.

The Orange County Register originally reported this La Habra crash.
