Shortly after 9 a.m. on Tuesday, December 11, 52-year-old motorcyclist Robert John Tangredi was fatally injured in a crash in Ontario. A car struck Tangredi at the intersection of Parco Avenue and Francis Street. Emergency responders transported him to an area hospital, where he succumbed to the trauma he suffered a few hours later. Authorities are investigating the accident.
“When a crash results in injury or death, the driver determined to be at-fault for the accident may be held liable for recovery-related expenses or for the loss of loved ones suffered by the families of the victims,” explained California motorcycle accident attorney James Ballidis.
Ontario accounted for 2 of the 26 fatalities and 28 of the 467 injuries suffered by motorcyclists in collisions that occurred in San Bernardino County in 2010, according to the California Highway Patrol’s Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System. The state’s incidence of motorcyclist fatalities decreased 10.7 percent from 394 in 2009 to 352 in 2010.
All of us at Allen, Flatt, Ballidis, and Leslie would like to offer our condolences to the family of Robert John Tangredi, the motorcyclist who was fatally injured in the collision.
