Lincoln Heights: Six Injured in Head-On Crash

By

At about 1:20 p.m. on Tuesday, January 8, six people were injured in a head-on crash in Lincoln Heights. The collision, which involved a sport utility vehicle and a sedan, occurred in the 3800 block of North Broadway. Emergency responders transported four adults and two children to an area hospital to receive treatment for injuries ranging from minor to major. One of the victims was reportedly eight months pregnant. Authorities are investigating the accident.

“California law ensures that the victims of accidents that cause injury are able to obtain compensation for the expense of their recoveries from the at-fault driver,” explained California car accident lawyer James Ballidis. “In such cases, those who were injured will file personal injury claims against the at-fault party.”

Traffic collisions claimed the lives of or caused injury to 72,010 people in Los Angeles County in 2010, according to the California Office of Traffic Safety’s most current statistics. The OTS compares the accident data of California’s 58 counties, giving those with the worst records the highest rankings, with 1st place considered the worst. That year, Los Angeles ranked 15th for its incidence of fatal and injury crashes.

All of us at Allen, Flatt, Ballidis, and Leslie would like to wish a full recovery to the six people who were injured in the head-on crash.

The Los Angeles Times originally reported this Lincoln Heights crash.
