At about 3:25 p.m. on Monday, January 28, one person was killed in a head-on collision in Morongo Valley. The collision, which involved at least two vehicles, occurred on Highway 62 at Highland Road. The impact caused at least one of the vehicles to ignite into flames. Authorities are investigating the accident.
“When a crash results in fatality, the family of the victim may hold the at-fault driver liable for their loss through the wrongful death claims process,” explained California car accident attorney James Ballidis.
In 2010, 11,866 people were killed or injured in crashes that occurred in San Bernardino County, according to the California Office of Traffic Safety. The OTS compares the accident statistics of the state’s 58 counties, giving those with the poorest records the highest rankings, with 1st place considered the worst. That year, San Bernardino ranked 36th for its incidence of fatal and injury collisions.
All of us at Allen, Flatt, Ballidis, and Leslie would like to offer our condolences to the family of the person who was killed in the head-on crash.
