Pasadena: Motorist Seriously Injured in Semi Crash

By

Shortly after noon on Saturday, December 29, a motorist was seriously injured in a semi crash in Pasadena. A yellow Ford Mustang collided with a big rig on the westbound 210 Freeway at Allen Avenue, the impact causing the driver of the car to suffer major trauma. He was transported to an area hospital in critical condition. Authorities are investigating the crash.

“Given the size and weight of large trucks, a collision between a big rig and a passenger vehicle can prove devastating for the occupants of the latter vehicle,” explained California truck accident lawyer James Ballidis.

Pasadena accounted for 4 of the 346 fatalities and 1,124 of the 62,881 injuries suffered by motor vehicle occupants in traffic collisions that occurred in Los Angeles County in 2010, according to the California Highway Patrol’s Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System. Large trucks were involved in 47 of the fatal and 1,535 of the injury crashes that occurred in the county that year.

All of us at Allen, Flatt, Ballidis, and Leslie would like to wish a full recovery to the motorist who was seriously injured in the semi crash.
