Corona: Man Killed, Two Injured in Head-On Crash

By

Shortly before 7 a.m. on Friday, February 1, a 61-year-old man was killed and two people were injured in a head-on crash near Corona. The collision, which involved a mid-size sedan and a mid-size pickup truck, occurred on Temescal Canyon Road near Pulsar Court and Interstate 15. The male driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene.

“After a fatal accident, the negligent party may be held liable for the expenses associated with the victims’ injuries or losses,” explained California car accident lawyer James Ballidis. “In many cases, the victims will file personal injury or wrongful death claims against the driver.”

Collisions claimed the lives of or caused injury to 396 people in Corona in 2010, according to the California Office of Traffic Safety. The OTS ranked Corona 48th out of 53 cities with populations ranging in size from 100,001 to 250,000 residents for its incidence of fatal and injury crashes; 1st place is the worst possible ranking.

All of us at Allen, Flatt, Ballidis, and Leslie would like to offer our condolences to the family of the man who was killed in the head-on crash. We would also like to wish a full recovery to the two people who were injured.

The Press-Enterprise originally reported this Corona collision.
