San Carlos: Four Injured in Broadside Collision

By

At about 12:30 p.m. on Friday, February 15, four people were injured in a broadside collision in San Carlos. The driver of a Chevy sedan crashed into a Honda Civic at the intersection of Cowles Mountain Boulevard and Boulder Lake Drive, the impact seriously injuring two female vehicle occupants and causing two others to suffer minor trauma. Residents of the area have reportedly requested a four-way stop signal system to be implemented at the intersection, which has been the site of several collisions.

“When a motor vehicle collision results in injuries, the negligent party-whether a driver or the municipal agency responsible for maintaining the area-may be held liable for the expenses associated with the victims’ recoveries,” explained California car accident attorney James Ballidis.

Sixty-two people were killed or injured in traffic accidents that occurred in San Carlos in 2010, according to the California Office of Traffic Safety’s most current records. San Carlos ranked 66th out of 93 cities for its incidence of fatal and injury crashes in a rating system in which 1st place is considered the worst.

All of us at Allen, Flatt, Ballidis, and Leslie would like to wish a full recovery to the four women who were injured in the broadside collision.
