At about 7 p.m. on Monday, March 11, four people were injured in a crash involving a semi, a Prius, and an SUV on the 210 Freeway in Sylmar. The five-vehicle collision occurred on the westbound side of the freeway near the Interstate 5. Paramedics transported the four vehicle occupants to area hospitals. Authorities are investigating the accident.
“When motor vehicle occupants are injured in a collision, they may file personal injury claims in order to hold the negligent driver liable for the expense of their recoveries,” explained California car accident lawyer James Ballidis.
Throughout Los Angeles County, 72,010 people were killed or injured in crashes in 2010, according to the California Office of Traffic Safety’s most current records. The OTS ranked Los Angeles 15th out of 58 counties for its incidence of accidents in a rating system in which 1st place is considered the worst. Large trucks were involved in 47 of the fatal and 1,535 of the injury accidents that occurred in the county that year.
All of us at Allen, Flatt, Ballidis, and Leslie would like to wish a full recovery to the four people who were injured in the crash involving the semi.
