At about 4:45 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, one person was killed and another was seriously injured in a collision in Wildomar. The two-vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of Monte Vista Drive and Bundy Canyon Road. One of the victims had to be extricated from the wreckage. Emergency responders pronounced one person dead at the scene and transported another to an area hospital to receive treatment for major trauma. Authorities are investigating the accident.
“The victims of auto collisions and their families have recourse through the civil justice system,” explained California car accident attorney James Ballidis. “Those who were injured may file personal injury claims in order to obtain compensation for the expense of their recoveries. The families of victims who did not survive the crash may file wrongful death claims against the negligent driver in order to hold him or her accountable for their loss.”
Wildomar accounted for none of the 164 fatalities and 77 of the 10,594 injuries suffered by motor vehicle occupants in crashes that occurred in Riverside County in 2010, according to the California Highway Patrol’s Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System. The California Office of Traffic Safety ranked Riverside County 46th out of 58 counties for its incidence of fatal and injury crashes in a rating system in which 1st place is considered the worst.
All of us at Allen, Flatt, Ballidis, and Leslie would like to offer our condolences to the family of the person who was killed in the collision. We would also like to wish a full recovery to the person who was injured.
