At about 2:40 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, 72-year-old Martina Johnson was killed in a head-on collision in Fontana. The two-vehicle crash occurred on Lytle Creek Road north of Glen Helen Parkway. Emergency responders transported Johnson to an area hospital, where she succumbed to the trauma she suffered a short time later. The CHP is investigating the accident.
“When a motorist is killed in a crash, his or her family may hold the negligent party liable by filing a wrongful death claim,” explained California injury lawyer James Ballidis.
In 2010, 544 people were killed or injured in collisions that occurred in Fontana, according to the California Office of Traffic Safety’s most current records. The OTS ranked Fontana 47th out of 53 cities of a similar size for its incidence of fatal and injury crashes that year; 1st place is the worst possible ranking.
All of us at Allen, Flatt, Ballidis, and Leslie would like to offer our condolences to the family of Martina Johnson.
