Mountain Center: Motorcycle Rider and Cyclist Injured in Crash

By

Shortly before 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, a motorcycle rider and a cyclist were injured in a crash in Mountain Center. The two riders suffered minor to moderate trauma after colliding near the intersection of Keen Camp Road and May Valley Truck Trail. Emergency responders transported the victims to area hospitals, one of them via helicopter. The accident is under investigation.

“Those who are injured in traffic accidents may pursue civil claims against the negligent party in order to be compensated for recovery-related expenses,” explained California injury lawyer James Ballidis.

In 2010, 538 motorcyclists were killed or injured in collisions that occurred in Riverside County, according to the California Office of Traffic Safety. That same year, traffic accidents claimed the lives of or caused injury to 340 bicyclists in the county. Overall, Riverside ranked 46th out of 58 counties for traffic safety in a rating system in which 1st place is considered the worst.

All of us at Allen, Flatt, Ballidis, and Leslie would like to wish a full recovery to the motorcycle rider and the cyclist who were injured in the crash.

The Press-Enterprise originally reported this Mountain View collision.

Additional information on the injury claims process is available to the public free of charge through our office.
