Norco: Jesus P. Roblero Killed in DUI Crash

By

Shortly after 6 a.m. on Monday, May 27, 23-year-old Jesus P. Roblero, of Riverside, was killed in a DUI crash in Norco. Twenty-nine-year-old Josh A. Peerman, of Palm Springs, fled when a Riverside County sheriff’s deputy approached his 2004 Nissan pickup for a traffic stop. He ran a red light at the intersection of Pedley Avenue and 6th Street, colliding with the 1993 Toyota Corolla Roblero was driving. Roblero was declared dead at the scene. Sheriff’s deputies indicated that they were not pursuing Peerman prior to the accident. Authorities arrested Peerman on suspicion of driving under the influence and causing a fatal crash.

“When a family loses a loved one to a drunk driver, they may file a wrongful death claim in order to hold the driver liable for their loss,” explained California car accident lawyer James Ballidis.

In 2010, 70 motor vehicle occupants lost their lives or were injured in crashes that occurred in Norco, according to the California Office of Traffic Safety’s most current records. Alcohol was a contributing factor to 13 of the fatal and injury accidents that occurred there that year, with the OTS ranking Norco 24th out of 93 similarly sized cities for its incidence of fatal and injury DUI collisions; 1st place is the worst possible ranking.

All of us at Allen, Flatt, Ballidis, and Leslie would like to offer our condolences to the family of Jesus P. Roblero, the man killed in the DUI crash.

The Press-Enterprise originally reported this Norco crash.
