Hinkley: One Killed in Head-On Collision

By

At about 3:20 p.m. on Monday, July 1, one person was killed in a head-on collision in Hinkley. While traveling on Highway 58, one motorist attempted to pass another and a collision occurred. One of the vehicles rolled off the road, killing one occupant and trapping others. DesertDispatch.com did not indicate how many occupants were injured. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.

“After a collision resulting in injury or death, the victims or their surviving family members may hold the negligent party liable for the expenses associated with their recoveries or losses,” explained California car accident attorney James Ballidis.

Throughout San Bernardino County, 11,866 people were killed or injured in traffic accidents in 2010, according to the California Office of Traffic Safety’s most current statistics. The OTS ranked San Bernardino 36th out of 58 counties for its incidence of fatal and injury traffic collisions in a rating system in which 1st place is considered the worst.

All of us at Allen, Flatt, Ballidis, and Leslie would like to offer our condolences to the family of the person who was killed in the head-on collision.
