Moreno Valley: Vehicle Struck, Seriously Injured Skateboarder

By

At about 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24, a vehicle struck and seriously injured a skateboarder in northwest Moreno Valley. The accident occurred at the intersection of Pigeon Pass Road and Climbing Rose Drive, just a couple of blocks north of Ironwood Avenue. Emergency responders transported the victim to an area hospital to receive treatment for major neck trauma. Authorities are investigating the collision.

“When a driver’s negligence causes an accident that seriously harms another, the victim may file a personal injury claim against the driver in order to obtain compensation for the expenses associated with his or her recovery,” explained California injury lawyer James Ballidis.

In 2010, 802 people lost their lives or were injured in traffic accidents that occurred in Moreno Valley, according to the California Office of Traffic Safety’s most current records. The OTS ranked Moreno Valley 26th out of 53 cities with populations of a similar size for its incidence of fatal and injury traffic accidents in a rating system in which 1st place is considered the worst.

All of us at Allen, Flatt, Ballidis, and Leslie would like to wish a full recovery to the skateboarder whom the vehicle struck and seriously injured.

The Press-Enterprise originally reported this Moreno Valley collision.

Additional information on the injury claims process is available to the public free of charge through our office.
