Barstow: Passenger Kimberly Robles Killed in Rollover Accident

By

At about 9:20 a.m. on Sunday, August 4, 10-year-old Kimberly Robles, of Santa Ana, was killed in a rollover accident near Barstow. While traveling northbound on Interstate 15, a 2000 Lincoln Navigator lost its left rear tire near Afton Canyon Road. The driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to rollover. Robles, a passenger in the backseat, was killed in the crash. The CHP is investigating the accident.

“After a fatal collision, the family of the victim may file a wrongful death claim against the party at-fault for the crash in order to be compensated for their loss,” explained California car accident lawyer James Ballidis.

Barstow accounted for 3 of the 59 fatalities and 44 of the 4,056 injuries suffered by passengers in motor vehicle collisions that occurred in San Bernardino in 2010, according to the California Highway Patrol’s Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System. San Bernardino County ranked 36th out of 58 counties for its incidence of fatal and injury crashes in a California Office of Traffic Safety rating system in which 1st place is considered the worst.

All of us at Allen, Flatt, Ballidis, and Leslie would like to offer our condolences to the family of Kimberly Robles, the passenger who was killed in the rollover accident.

The Orange County Register originally reported this Barstow rollover accident.
