Glendora: One Injured in DUI Crash

At about 3 p.m. on Sunday, January 27, one person was injured in a DUI crash in Glendora. While traveling eastbound on Route 66, 25-year-old Andrew Castro ran a red light at Compromise Line Road and collided with another car, the impact injuring one of its occupants. Emergency responders transported the person to an area hospital. Authorities arrested Castro on suspicion of felony DUI.

“When a motorist is injured in a collision, he or she may hold the at-fault driver liable for recovery-related expenses,” explained California car accident lawyer James Ballidis, “such as for medical bills, lost income, and pain and suffering.”

Crashes killed or injured 195 people in Glendora in 2010, according to the California Office of Traffic Safety. Alcohol contributed to 20 of the fatal and injury accidents, with Glendora ranking 46th out of 103 cities with similarly sized populations for its incidence of DUI crashes.

All of us at Allen, Flatt, Ballidis, and Leslie would like to wish a full recovery to the person who was injured.

The San Gabriel Valley Tribune originally reported this Glendora crash.
