At about 2:48 a.m. on Saturday, January 19, 35-year-old Shiden Golshani Jabdan, of San Diego, was fatally injured in a crash in Mission Beach. While traveling westbound in the 900 block of West Mission Bay Drive, the 35-year-old female driver of the BMW in which Jabdan was riding collided with several parked cars. Emergency responders transported Jabdan to an area hospital, were she died about twelve hours later. The driver of the car and a 19-year-old female passenger were also transported to the hospital. Authorities are investigating the accident.
“When a family loses a loved one to an auto collision, they may hold the at-fault driver liable for their loss by filing a wrongful death claim,” explained California car accident lawyer James Ballidis.
In 2010, auto accidents claimed the lives of or caused injury to 17,889 people in San Diego County, according to the California Office of Traffic Safety. Crashes occurring between 9 p.m. and 2:59 a.m. accounted for 1,640 of the traffic-related injuries and fatalities. California’s incidence of traffic fatalities increased 2.6 percent from 2,720 in 2010 to 2,791 in 2011.
