At about 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 8th, one person was killed and another was injured in a collision on the 170 Freeway in North Hollywood. The crash, which involved three vehicles, one of which rolled over and burst into flames, occurred in the southbound lanes of the highway near Victory Boulevard. “After an accident resulting in injury or fatality, the victims or their families may hold the at-fault driver liable for expenses associated with their recovery or loss,” explained California personal injury lawyer James Ballidis.
Nationwide, traffic collisions claimed the lives of 32,310 people in 2011, 1.7 percent fewer than the 32,885 fatalities the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration recorded in 2010. Although traffic fatalities decreased on the national level, they increased by 3.3 percent in California.
All of us at Allen, Flatt, Ballidis, and Leslie would like to offer our condolences to the family of the person who was killed in the collision on the 170 Freeway. We would also like to wish a full recovery to the person who was injured.
