Ontario: Two Men Critically Injured in Car Accident

Shortly after 5 p.m. on Friday, April 19, two men were critically injured in a car accident in Ontario. While traveling on the westbound 10 Freeway, the driver lost control of the orange compact vehicle while exiting at Holt Boulevard, struck the concrete center divider, and swerved across lanes into a tree. Emergency responders transported the driver and passenger to hospitals to receive treatment for major trauma. The accident is under investigation.

“After a car accident, those who were injured may pursue civil claims against the at-fault driver in order to be compensated for the cost of their recoveries,” explained California auto accident lawyer James Ballidis.

According to the California Office of Traffic Safety, 872 people were killed or injured in motor vehicle collisions in Ontario in 2010. The OTS ranked Ontario 18th out of 53 cities with similarly sized populations for its incidence of fatal and injury crashes in a rating system in which 1st place is considered the worst.

All of us at Allen, Flatt, Ballidis, and Leslie would like to wish a full recovery to the two men who were critically injured in the car accident.

The Contra Costa Times originally reported this Ontario crash.

Additional information on the injury and the wrongful death claims process is available to the public free of charge through our office.
