Redondo Beach: Teenage Passenger Injured in DUI Accident

At about 4 a.m. on Monday, May 27, a teenage passenger was injured in a DUI accident in Redondo Beach. While traveling in the 1900 block of Pacific Coast Highway, the teenage driver collided with three parked vehicles. Emergency responders transported the passenger to an area hospital. Authorities arrested the driver on suspicion of drunken driving. The accident is under investigation.

“When a crash results in trauma, the victims may hold the at-fault driver liable for the cost of their recoveries,” explained California injury lawyer James Ballidis.

Traffic accidents claimed the lives of or caused injury to 307 people in Redondo Beach in 2010, according to the California Office of Traffic Safety. Drivers under the age of 21 were involved in two of the crashes that resulted in injury or death. Alcohol was a contributing factor to 47 of the accidents.

All of us at Allen, Flatt, Ballidis, and Leslie would like to wish a full recovery to the teenage passenger who was injured in the DUI accident.

The Daily Breeze originally reported this Redondo Beach DUI crash.

Additional information on the injury claims process is available to the public free of charge through our office.
