San Fernando Valley: One Injured in Collision on 101 Freeway

At about 1:20 p.m. on Monday, January 7, one person was injured in a collision on the 101 Freeway in the San Fernando Valley. The crash, which involved a sport utility vehicle and a Toyota Camry, occurred in eastbound lanes west of the 134 Freeway, the impact causing the SUV to overturn. Authorities are investigating the accident.

“Personal injury claims may arise from collisions that cause trauma,” explained California car accident lawyer James Ballidis, “as the victims, under state law, may seek compensation from the negligent party for the expense of their recoveries.”

Traffic accidents claimed the lives of or caused injury to 72,010 people in Los Angeles County in 2010, according to the California Office of Traffic Safety’s most current statistics. The California Office of Traffic Safety ranked Los Angeles 15th out of 58 counties for its incidence of fatal and injury motor vehicle collisions in a rating system in which 1st place is considered the worst.

All of us at Allen, Flatt, Ballidis, and Leslie would like to wish a full recovery to the person who was injured in the collision on the 101 Freeway.

The Los Angeles Times originally reported this San Fernando Valley crash.
