Wildomar: Passenger Seriously Injured in DUI Crash

At about 1:20 a.m. on Tuesday, August 7th, a passenger was seriously injured in a DUI crash in Wildomar. While traveling eastbound on Clinton Keith Road in a silver Nissan Altima, 21-year-old Jack Robert Jurasky lost control of the vehicle near Palomar Street, swerved off the shoulder of the road, and collided with some trees. A passenger in the vehicle sustained severe injuries and was transported to a hospital. Authorities arrested Jurasky on suspicion of DUI.

“Drivers who injure others while violating traffic safety laws may be held responsible for the cost of the victims’ recoveries,” explained California car accident attorney James Ballidis, “including for medical bills, lost wages, and pain and suffering.”

Wildomar accounted for none of the 52 fatalities and 40 of the 3,620 injuries suffered by passengers in collisions that occurred in Riverside County in 2009, according to the California Highway Patrol’s Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System. That year, alcohol contributed to 87 of the fatal and 986 of the injury crashes that occurred in the county.

All of us at Allen, Flatt, Ballidis, and Leslie would like to wish a full recovery to the passenger who was injured in the DUI crash this morning.

Additional information on the injury claims process is available to the public free of charge through our office.
